• Has a university close by, one which has a lot of classes / courses based around technology and digital fields (e.g. Aeronautical Engineering, Graphic Design, “Media, Industry and Innovation”

 

• Holds many festivals to do with tech such as:
  • Brighton Digital Festival
  • Wired Sussex
  • BrightonSEO

Where are these digital events held and what sort of people attend them?

 

• Almost all are in Brighton.
• A lot of them are also on Middle Street.
• Quite a large amount of them are based in cafes or pubs.

 

• People who attend or are focussed on are very varied.
• Some events are focussed on getting women and LGBTQ members into coding and digital media, such as Codebar.

 

• 

 

• Some events are focused on people who run their own business and freelancers.

Most events however are just for people willing to pay, or people who are interested in the topic at hand (e.g. SEO training, meeting about entrepreneurs, etc
